Pósa-type results for Berge-hypergraphs
A Berge cycle of length $k$ in a hypergraph $\mathcal H$ is a sequence of distinct vertices and hyperedges $v_1,h_1,v_2,h_2,\dots,v_{k},h_k$ such that $v_{i},v_{i+1}\in h_i$ for all $i\in[k]$, indices taken modulo $k$. Füredi, Kostochka and Luo recently gave sharp Dirac-type minimum degree conditions that force non-uniform hypergraphs to have Hamiltonian Berge cycles. We give a sharp Pósa-type lower bound for $r$-uniform and non-uniform hypergraphs that force Hamiltonian Berge cycles.

In this paper, we propose a recipe for B-model computation of genus 1 Gromov-Witten invariants of Calabi-Yau and Fano Projective Hypersurfaces. Our formalism can be applied equally to both Calabi-Yau and Fano cases. In Calabi-Yau case, drastic cancellation of terms used in our formalism occurs and it results in another representation of BCOV-Zinger formula for projective Calabi-Yau hypersurfaces.

Models of $2$-nondegenerate CR hypersurface in $\mathbb{C}^N$
We show that every point in a uniformly $2$-nondegenerate CR hypersurface is canonically associated with a model $2$-nondegenerate structure. The $2$-nondegenerate models are basic CR invariants playing the same fundamental role as quadrics do in the Levi nondegenerate case. Mutual position of two smooth quadrics over finite fields
Given two irreducible conics $C$ and $D$ over a finite field $\mathbb{F}_q$ with $q$ odd, we show that there are $q^2/4+O(q^{3/2})$ points $P$ in $\mathbb{P}^2(\mathbb{F}_q)$ such that $P$ is external to $C$ and internal to $D$. This answers a question of Korchmáros. We also prove the analogous result for higher-dimensional smooth quadric hypersurfaces over $\mathbb{P}^{n-1}$ with $n$ odd, where the answer is $q^{n-1}/4+O(q^{n-\frac{3}{2}})$.
